Privacy Policy
Plain-language summary
- We collect little. An email address to create your account, billing details handled by our payment provider, and basic usage data to keep the platform working.
- We do not sell your data. Ever. We do not build advertising profiles about you.
- We use processors. Hosting, authentication, payments and email are handled by established providers under contract.
- You are in control. You can access, correct, export or delete your data by writing to us.
- Project data is not personal data. The lithium information in the platform comes from public sources and is covered by the Data Disclaimer instead.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is LithiumOPS SpA, tax ID 78.448.252-9, operator of the LithiumOps platform ("LithiumOps", "we").
Privacy enquiries: contact@lithiumops.com.
2. Scope of this Policy
This Policy explains how we handle personal data of our users — the people who visit the site, create an account or subscribe to a plan.
It does not apply to the lithium project, company and market information published in the platform. That content is compiled from publicly available sources, concerns organisations and assets rather than private individuals, and is governed by our Data Disclaimer. Where a public source incidentally contains the name of a company representative or report author, we process it on the basis of legitimate interest in providing sector information, and you may request its removal under Section 9.

7. International transfers
Our providers may store or process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States and the European Union. Where such transfers occur, we rely on recognised safeguards — adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or equivalent contractual protections — to keep the level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
8. How long we keep it
- Account data — while your account is active, and up to 12 months after closure to allow reactivation and to resolve disputes.
- Billing and invoicing records — for the period required by tax and commercial law in our jurisdiction, typically 6 years.
- Support communications — up to 24 months after the enquiry is closed.
- Technical logs — typically 90 days, longer where needed to investigate a security incident.
- Aggregated and anonymised statistics — indefinitely, as they no longer identify you.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Delete your data, where we have no overriding legal basis to retain it;
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interest;
- Port your data to another provider in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
Write to contact@lithiumops.com from the address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days. We may ask for reasonable verification of identity before acting on a request.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority in your jurisdiction — in Chile, the Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales.
10. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest for the database, hashed credentials, row-level access controls, least-privilege administrative access, and monitoring of authentication events.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the competent authority as required by law.
11. Children
The Service is intended for professional and academic use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Contact us at contact@lithiumops.com if you believe a minor has provided us with data.
12. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. Automated controls limited to fraud prevention, abuse detection and rate limiting may temporarily restrict access; you may request human review by contacting support.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The current version is always the one published at this URL, identified by its effective date. For material changes we will notify you by email or in-product notice before they take effect.
